ABOUT MEDICAL HOMEOPATHY
There are two main courses
in Homoeopathy. Eligibility for both is 10+2 with
science (PCB) subjects. SHMS is a 4-year course and
the graduate degree course is of 5½ years duration
which includes one year internship. Dissertation is
a unique part of the internship.
Selection
Admission to BHMS
is based on merit. There is a joint
entrance examination along with MBBS & BDS for selection.
The cut off percentage for admission are based on
Physics, Chemistry, Biology average of class XII.
Job Opportunities
Graduates of Homeopathy find employment in Government Medical Services, i.e. CGHS, State dispensaries, autonomous bodies, voluntary organizations or private practice and teaching. Homeopathy courses are
available in a large number of colleges. Today it
is gaining popularity all over the world. In our country
too people prefer treatment of chronic ailments and
skin disorders by Homeopathy.
Recognizing Authority Homeopathic
Medical Colleges in India are recognized by Central
Council of Homeopathy, Jawaharalal Nehru Bhartiya
Chikitsa Avum Homeopathy Anusandhan Bhavan, No. 61-65,

for conducting admissions to the DHMS / BHMS course
